Typical umbrella coverage starts at $1 million, but you can buy up to $10 million in coverage. Usually, umbrella insurance is purchased as an add-on to an existing policy. Insurers may require that you have a minimum amount of coverage on your home or auto (or both) before theyll sell you an umbrella policy. Before you buy umbrella insurance, make sure you need it. Analyze your exposure to risk. What is the likelihood of someone being injured on your property? Theyre higher than normal if you own a dog or have swimming pool, for example. Do you own valuable assets like a home, savings account, stocks or other items that would be at risk if you were sued and your insurance didnt cover all the loss or damage? If you answered yes to either question, youre a good candidate for umbrella insurance. You should expect to pay a higher premium (for example an additional $150 per year for $1 million gap policy), but you can lessen the impact with a higher deductibles on your basic home or auto policy. You can also take advantage of money-saving discounts such as using the same insurer for all your policies. You should also compare various policies to see if switching to another company for your basic policies and umbrella coverage makes sense. Be sure you get the coverage you need.

Committee recommends keeping Crimsons as Jacksonville High’s nickname – News – The State Journal-Register – Springfield, IL
24, 2016 at 9:30 PM JACKSONVILLE The Crimsons nickname is sticking in Jacksonville. After months of gathering community feedback, an advisory committee recommended last week to keep the Crimsons name and not create a mascot. However, the group proposed developing a standard for the many variations of the J seen on uniforms and clothing. The story kept coming back to were the Crimsons and we do not need to be anything else, said Craig Albers, a former board president who chaired the committee. But the one thing we did uncover is that we lacked a visual identity. Albers said the group has recommended using a boldfaced capital J as the visual that would appear on uniforms and clothing. Currently, its possible to see nearly 15 variations of JHS or J on shirts in the crowd at a basketball game, he said. The group presented the boldfaced capital J design to the school board last week. The board could choose to tweak the design or adopt it at an upcoming meeting, Albers said. The idea would then be for athletic teams to phase in the design when they purchase new uniforms. Hopefully, booster clubs will also adopt the same design so there is consistency across grade levels and sports, Albers said. We came to the conclusion that we do not need a mascot as much as a visual identifier that associates Jacksonville when people see an image, Albers said. The advisory committee was formed several months ago to see if residents were interested in updating the Jacksonville School Districts nickname. Albers said the group was never interested in dropping Crimsons altogether, but rather possibly tweaking it to something such as Crimson Knights or Crimson Cavaliers. Its current nickname, the Crimsons, is simply a color and doesnt have an easily identifiable image, such as a silhouette of the state capital or a man holding an ax, Albers said. It also hadnt always been the schools name. Back in the 1920s, the school’s nickname was the Crimson Jackals. It was changed to the Crimson Js before becoming the Crimsons sometime in the 1950s.

Looking for a way to add counter space? Why not install a microwave that can be installed over the oven range? Microwave ovens vary in cost and also in what they do. This type of microwave does not have a vent. Instead, it circulates air. If you’re a cook who tends to set things on fire, this is not a good idea.
If your wall has holes in it from pictures, spackle them. Pick up some spackle first. The spackle can fill the hole if it’s small enough. You can even use a pin to apply spackle to a tiny hole. Once it dries try smoothing the hole with a card so that it is flush. Paint the walls. This method will make holes vanish in single night!
Don’t dispose of bedroom doors simply due to a dirty appearance. Remove your door from the frame, and sand it down until the bare wood is exposed. Purchase paint that is oil based, and use it to coat the door. Change out your doorknobs to something fancier.
